Trainers are programs made to modify behaviour of a computer game, usually using addresses and values, in order to allow cheating.

Trainers work by modifying the values stored in the memory by game. The games have address to store different values in the memory. Like the number of bullets, the levels of health, etc. The adresses are same in all machines so a common trainer can be used to modify the game behaviour on different machines.

For Example: if you have 6 bullets in your Shotgun, you can write a trainer to automatically rewrite the value in the memory address that store the number of bullets.

The trainer will change the value in background every second or even milliseconds. So you don’t have to reload the rifle manually.

Most of the trainers are coded in Visual Basic. There are also some trainer creation kits that allow novice users to make game trainers. These kits include Memory Scanners ,Trainer Compilers.

Two most popular trainer creation kits are Magic Trainer Creator and Trainer Maker Kit.

Now i will give some hints on how you can make a simple game trainer with the Magic Trainer Creator..

First open the Magic Trainer Creator and minimise it.

Start the Game. Suppose In game you have 6 bullets in the Shotgun.

Don’t close the game, Hit Alt+Tab and come back to the scanner and search for all adresses that have current value 6. Trainer will come up with hundreds of values.

Then you go back to the game and lose a bullet. Now you have 5 bullets in shotgun.

Again Hit Alt+Tab and Come back to the trainer ,This time scan for 5. The trainer will grab and show the values that recently changed from 6 to 5, all other values will be left out.

Repeat the procedure again and again. At last you will be left out with 2 or 3 values. Then with the help of the same scanner program (in Magic Trainer Creator), you can change the value of that address and append back to memory. Try changing the value to anything you like.

Then go back to the game and see if the number of bullets in the game has changed to the value that you just gave to that address.

If yes Then GOAL !!
You have found the correct address that store the number of bullets, now you can use that address to make your own game trainer.
