Nokia plans to start offering the N92 mobile phone in various Asian markets over the next several weeks. The N92 supports DVB-H television, DVB-H stands for Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld and is an open standard for mobile television.

Nokia originally intended to launch the N92 during the summer of 2006, but held off because access to the DVB-H network technology that the phone uses was not yet widely available. The cellphone will be launched first in Vietnam and Indonesia, Vietnam Multimedia said it plans to offer N92 owners eight TV channels, including one channel with a TV-on-demand service, and four radio channels.
