This is a cool little trick to watch star wars episode in telnet.

First, make sure you are connected to the internet.

  1. Goto run.
  2. Type in or copy “telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl” without the quotes.
  3. Hit Enter.

The trick was reported as Windows XP hidden easter egg, but its not an easter egg. It works with any telnet client on any windows version. Telnet opens an outside connection from your computer to an outside server and the display is what server sends you.

This is at least 8 years old, probably more. But still neat nonetheless.
