CNet’s Editor and former Fresh Gear contributor and Lab analyst James Kim, along with his family, has been missing since Saturday.
The 35-year-old Kim, his 30-year-old wife Kati and daughters Penelope (4 years) and Sabine (7 months) left their home in San Francisco last week on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest. They had Thanksgiving in Seattle with family and then drove to Portland. They were last seen by their friends in Portland whom they had brunch with on Saturday, November 25.
Police have opened a missing person investigations and called on those, having any information on the whereabouts of the missing family to contact them.
Authorities began an aerial search Friday in Oregon. The National Guard, the California Highway Patrol, the Coast Guard, the Oregon State Police and the Douglas County (Ore.) Sheriff’s Department, are combining efforts in search for missing family.
The thoughts and prayers of the whole tech community goes to the Kim family for their safe return.
