Today is Digg’s 2nd anniversary. In 2003, Kevin Rose had a big idea. He went to Elance to post a project and look for a PHP programmer, he selected Owen Byrne, The guy that built the original Digg prototype… and worked with him to build the initial product. Later, Owen joined Digg full-time.
Digg stands at #78 according to Alexa traffic rank and is one of the most trafficked sites on the Internet.
