Yahoo has acquired MyBlogLog, a social-networking site that aims to build communities among likeminded blog readers. It also tracks behaviors such has what sites readers have come from and what they click on to leave a particular site.

With MyBlogLog readers can become friends with other people who read their favorite blogs. See what else they’re reading. Check out their MySpace and Friendster profiles and view their Flickr photostreams. Authors can learn more about their readers individually and as a group.

MyBlogLog will remain a separate service. The acquisition can help yahoo to potentially step into web analytics service market.
