Subscribe to Comments 2.1 is a plugin that allows commenters on your blog to check a box before commenting and get e-mail notification of further comments. With the new version you can see how many subscribers there are and you can also see a list of the most “subscribed” posts.
The previous version (2.0.8) wasn’t working with Wordpress 2.1 so upgrading to the latest version is a good idea.
If you don’t want to upgrade, here is what you need to do on the previous version to work with Wordpress 2.1:
You should update the file subscribe-to-comments.php. On line 438 put “(array)” before “get_post_meta(” and you should have something like this “(array)get_post_meta(“.
[Thanks Alex]

1. I will leave you a message like this.

2. After Clicking the link you will get redirected to this page.

Some smart guys are already using this trick to fool others to join their community.
The guy who tried to trick me got 450+ members in his community, i wonder how many of them are genuine.
Try this link to Join Freakitude Technology Blog Community.
To solve the problem, i think there must be a confirmation option after clicking the Join This Community button or it should be session based.

Microsoft and Google have separately announced that they have hired planes to fly over certain parts of Sydney on Australia Day.
January 26th, a Google branded plane will be flying over the CBD, north shore and eastern suburbs of Sydney producing high-resolution imagery. They have setup a campaign webpage here.
Excerpt from the webpage:
“..Google Australia is celebrating Australia Day 2007 by photographing Sydney Harbour from the air, and we want to make sure as many of us as possible squeeze into the picture.
So when you see the Google branded plane flying overhead this January 26th, hoist a sign, arrange your family into a fun formation or just get a bunch of friends together to wave…”
Microsoft sponsored campaign named look up and smile has also commissioned a satellite and high tech planes to fly over Australia and take photos of Australia’s most celebrated day of the year.
Excerpt from the webpage:
“..You can find out precisely when the high tech planes will be above you so that you know when to look up and smile for the camera. The best way to stand out on the day is to do something big..”
Microsoft plans to publish the images on the Look Up and Smile website. Google’s on the other hand will use the imagery for updating Google’s mapping services with high quality images of the city.

Wikipedia has added nofollow on their outbound links, after a surge of new spam due to GlobalWarmingAwareness2007 SEO contest. “nofollow” is a link attribute which tells a search engine that it should not follow the link, so the link will not get pageRank or any other benefit for being on wikipedia.
Every outbound link, even those on user pages, now uses rel=nofollow, no exceptions. The move will help wikipedia to cut down on the amount of spam.
Wikipedia Mailing List Message about the official decision.

Mig33, the widely popular cellphone chatting application is to be banned in Bangladesh by the Grameen Phone cellphone company. The ban will come into effect after January 31, 2007.
To Cash in on the popularity of Mig33, The company has launched its own Grameen Phone Instant Messanger to Rival Mig33.
I have checked the new Grameen Phone IM service and i think these people are angry for genuine reason.
-
GP IM service is paid while Mig33 service is totally free.
-
Mig33 is the most stable MSN and Yahoo client for J2ME devices. Grameen Phone IM serivce does’nt offer yahoo and MSN connectivity.
-
Mig33 Java version is 62KB while Grameen Phone Messenger is 108KB so very slow and resource hungry as compared to Mig33.
