youtube-logo Youtube, the most popular video sharing site could be banned in India due to a offensive video of Mahatma Gandhi.

The video made by a Hawaii-based Non-Resident Indian, has shown Gandhi doing a pole dance, stripping, playing with daggers and dining with two beautiful women.

The author of the video, Gautham Prasad, has now apologized to the people offended by the video. A couple of Indian TV channels that showed the video have been asked to apologize .

Google Updating Pagerank Again

Posted by admin in Google, India, Inter... | 01.11.2007 - 5:14 am

Google Dance is upon us once again, usually google updates pagerank quarterly. It may take some more days before google start showing your static pagerank. Use this SEO Chat tool to check your current pagerank.

During pagerank update, the pagerank of a website vary between different data centers. You can use this online future pagerank tool to check your pagerank across different data centres and to catch a glimpse of what your future pagerank might be.

Another good way to check your future pagerank is by using the iWebtool future pagerank tool, this tool predicts the future pagerank of your website by analysing the backlinks to your website and also the individual pagerank of websites that are linking to you.

Last time google did’nt assigned any pagerank because blog was few weeks old. Just keep these things is mind.

  • The last PR update could have been months ago.
  • Sometimes the number we see is not the real PR of a web page.
  • PR can actually be stolen or faked.
  • PR is only a small part of the entire algorithm.
  • PR0 (PageRank zero) is not necessarily a bad thing.
  • PR is not always passed from one page to another.
  • PR doesn’t always pass its full value to another page.
  • PR is sometimes estimated.

Current pagerank for this blog is 0 and iWebtool predicted future pagerank as 5.6. Let’s see what i get. :D
Best of luck to all hardworking webmasters and bloggers ;)

Google Earth 4 Released

Posted by admin in Google, India, Inter... | 01.10.2007 - 2:23 am

gearth4-screenGoogle Earth 4 Final version has been released yesterday. The latest version 4.0.2722 is available for download at the Google Earth website.

New Google Earth 4 features:

  • 3D terrain and buildings - This is one of the coolest features of Google Earth. They have added higher-quality terrain data for many mountainous regions, as well as support for “textured” 3D buildings–meaning bricks look like real bricks, glass looks like real glass, and overall, the world looks more like the real world.
  • Create and Share Geographical Info - Now you can view travel photos, hiking trails uploaded from your GPS, overlays of your own imagery, or large geographic data sets. You can even time-stamp the data to create animations of how the world changes over time.
  • New Look - GE 4 has a much cleaner look than GE 3. It devotes more attention to the main 3D view, and has a new navigation gadget which appears in the upper right corner.
