Kill The Firefox “Restore Session” Popup

Posted by admin in Firefox, Internet, T... | 02.03.2007 - 6:37 am

Firefox 2.0 has built-in Session Restore feature, allowing the user to continue browsing from where they left off if firefox session closes unexpectedly.

Do you want to get rid of the Firefox Restore session window that pops up when you start firefox after a crash ?

To turn this off you can change the browser.sessionstore.enabled setting in Firefox.

1. type about:config in your browser URL
2. go to the browser.sessionstore.enabled setting
3. change the setting to false

yeah thats cool but can i save the session any other way than ctrl+alt+delleting ff?

Oh one more thing your tip doesn’t work if that key entry is completely deleted then you have to make sure firefox is shut off before editing that add that configuration.
