How to Create 3D Text in photoshop
First Open a new document Go to File>New (shortcut ctrl+N)
Any size will be all right. But if you want to follow this tutorial give these settings.

Click the foreground color icon
and give these settings.

Fill the background with this color.
Take the gradient tool
and keep the foreground color white.
Create a new layer.
Go to Layer>New>Layer

On the new layer with the gradient tool selected draw a horizontal line from top to bottom & another line from bottom to top till you get something similar to this.

With the text tool
type something on a new layer.
Make sure it’s a bold font. For this tutorial I am using the digg logo.
On the text layers blending option:
Go to Layer>Layer Style>Blending Options.
Tick the gradient overlay and give these settings.

Keep the type layer selected and duplicate the layer.
Go to Layer>Duplicate Layer….(Shortcut Ctrl+J)
And press Up and Right arrow on keyboard.
Duplicate from the new duplication and press up & Right.
Repeat this 6 times and u will get something like this.

Repeat the above method once more with the sixth Layer.
On the seventh layer go to blending option and give these settings.

On the first type layers Blending option give these settings.
