Google recently announced that users will now be able to create and post polls in any community that they are a member of.

How to create Polls ?
1. Click on the “new poll” button in the poll section on the community homepage. Alternatively, you can select the “view polls” tab on the left side of the page, and then click the “create a new poll” button.
2. Enter the word verification in the textbox and click “confirm.”
3. Enter your poll question, optional description, and answer options in the spaces provided. You may enter up to 30 answer choices by clicking the “add option” link.
4. If you’d like to add images next to your answer choices, click the “add image” link beside each answer option.
5. Select your desired settings to specify an end date, whether users can select more than one answer, and if the poll will be open to community members only or anyone on orkut.
6. Click “create.”
Polls can be deleted by poll creator, community administrator and moderators. However community mods and admins cannot edit polls created by users.
Note: Currently polls are not available in all communities. Polls will be introduced in smaller communities in orkut first. It may take a week or two for the polls feature to be available in all communities.
