Some days back Digg released the Digg API and flash application toolkit and also announced the Digg API visualization contest. Smart programmers have started developing excellent tools based on the API.
Recently i came across TINC. Cool web application that lets you see who is digging your stories and who’s stories you are digging. You can get these details about any digg user.

Neothoughts released the Smart Digg Button Firefox extension that uses the newly released Digg API to determine if the web page you are currently viewing has been submitted to Digg.
If the page you are viewing has been submitted to Digg, it displays the current number of Diggs the page has. Pressing the button takes you to the submission.

A new version 4.0 of IrfanView has been released on April 23.
There are lots of new features and New display options:

The Alky Project from Falling Leaf Systems recently released in Alpha form preview release of DirectX 10 compatible libraries for Windows XP. The project want to save gamers from upgrading to Windows Vista, allowing them to play the latest games on any Windows operating system.
The project plans to build a converter that can take in a DX10 game executable and will produce a modified version that can be run on a (non-Vista) target OS. The libraries will also increase hardware compatibility even on Vista, by compiling Geometry Shaders down to native machine code for execution where hardware isn’t capable of running it.
DirectX 10 Compatibility Libraries are currently in Pre-Alpha stage, You can download the preview from here and can test it out with the DX10 SDK which include samples that users can test out with their DX10 compatible gfx cards.

For the pormotion of the upcoming Spider Man 3 movie which is due to launch on May 4. Spiderman3Earth website has released a new Spider-Man-3 layer for Google Earth.
The new layer lets you take the tour of the city and check out some of the locations from the movie Spider Man 3 drawn with Google SketchUp. You can also find spidey and venom emplaced on some locations associated with the movie like Daily Bugle Building, Times Square, etc.

Permacop a plugin for WordPress allows you to easily redirect any url of your site to any other URL.
How to Use:
1. Download the plugin.
2. Unzip to your plugins directory.
3. Activate the plugin.
4. Go to Manage — Redirects.
5. Enter the URL you want to redirect from (relative you to your blog home) in the “From” field.
6. Enter the URL you want to redirect to in the “To” field.
7. Click “Add!” and you’re done.
This plugin can be useful to generate short urls for important posts, redirect identical adresses, create links for file downloads, etc.
If you have forum installed at http://forum.yourdomain.com, You can use this plugin to redirect http://www.yourdomain.com/forum to the forum address without making any changes to htaccess file.

Sandboxie is Windows Application that let you run softwares in sandbox. Sandboxie intercepts changes to your files and registry and disallow the application to change or write anything on your computer.
Sandboxie will create a transient storage area on your hard disk and the Sandboxed application will only be able to write in that area. If the application contains viruses or spyware, they will be trapped in the sandbox, and will disappear when you throw away the sandbox.
