Software download web site File Hippo has released a Windows utility called Update Checker.
The Update Checker is a small, free application that will scan your computer for installed software and then send this information to filehippo.com to see if there are any newer releases. When the system scan is done, the Update Checker will open your browser and bring to a update page on FileHippo.com.
The application is just 100KB and works on Windows Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 or 98. The application does not require installation and can be run directly from the desktop or download folder. It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is installed, which you can download from here.
