Search Engines Introduce Sitemaps Autodiscovery

Posted by admin in Google, Tech News, ... | 04.12.2007 - 12:30 am

Microsoft, Yahoo, Google and Ask recently announced the addition of Sitemaps Autodiscovery to the sitemaps protocol.

Now there is no need of manually pinging or submitting sitemaps to each engine.

You can specify the location of the Sitemap using a robots.txt file. To do this, simply add the following line in your robots.txt file:

Sitemap: http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml
