Read Google Reader feeds Offline with Google Gears

Now you can download all items in Google Reader and can read them offline with Google’s newly released web app framework named Google Gears.

Google Gears is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality.

You just have to install Google gears and click the new Green Offline Icon in Google Reader.

Google Gears can download upto 2,000 items so they’re available even when you don’t have an internet connection.

Google Gears System requirements:
• Windows XP/Vista
• Firefox 1.5+ and Internet Explorer 6.0+
Google Gears is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux

This is first Google application using Google Gears and more applications are soon to come.
