The twitterbar extension allows you to post to twitter directly from the firefox addressbar. A small unobtrusive grey icon sits to the right of your addressbar, clicking on it will post your tweet, hovering over the icon will tell you how many characters you have left.

The best part is that the extension automatically shortens long urls using tinyurl service and has the ability to automatically prefix the ‘Currently browsing’ text to url tweets.

Technorati’s New Ranking System

Posted by admin in Tips Tricks, Windows... | 05.04.2007 - 10:50 pm

Technorati has changed the format of their rankings system and and replaced the incoming links feature with a new feature called as “Authority”. This seems to be done in response to recent attempts to game technorati which thrown many top blogs out of Technorati Most Favourited List. The Technorati Favourites feature has also been renamed to My Fans.

Technorati authority is not really a new thing, the technorati authority widget is available from last two months but they never disclosed any information about how they calculate the authority rankings.
