Latest Wordpress security related releases are now available for download. The Wordpress 2.2.2 is security and bug fix release for Wordpress 2.2 branch and Wordpress 2.0.11 is for the legacy 2.0 branch.

Yeah,
They don’t mention it I think, but one guy found all 7 exploits in one day because he felt like surveying the code for errors.
It just shows you how many bugs there are in EVERY software. But contrary to popular belief, opensource doesn’t mean “there are millions of people” watching the code. It means there are a handful of people who know exploits that no one else does, and they can basically take over any server they want.
