Google released a shared storage plan offering users a way buy extra storage space to be used across different Google services like Gmail, Picasa, etc.
Now if you buy extra storage for one Google service you can use the storage space to house content from other service. Also if you purchased extra storage from Picasa, it can now be used to store your gmail messages.
Currently you can share storage between Gmail and Picasa only but Google may add other service like Google Docs and Page Creator to the shared storage plan.
The extra storage prices are as follows:
6 GB ($20.00 per year)
25 GB ($75.00 per year)
100 GB ($250.00 per year)
250 GB ($500.00 per year)
You can purchase extra storage from this webpage.
