Apple MacBook Air - Thinnest Notebook - Very thin laptop

Posted by admin in Gadgets, ... | 01.31.2008 - 12:06 am

Macbook air
For those of you who have not seen any news, or TV ads in the last few weeks. The MacBook Air is the thinnest notebook yet. Weighing in at 3lbs and standing a mere 0.76-inch in height. It sports a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of memory, and an 80GB PATA hard disk drive. The display is a 13.3-inch glossy widescreen and can be used like the iphone multi-touch pad. Users are guaranteed 5 hours of wireless productivity. The optical drive was ditched to achieve its thinness but Apple does offer a couple of alternatives. Why does apple insist on building batteries in devices? No user swappable battery, if the battery dies laptop dead until a tech fixes it! But word is MacBook Air battery replacements: $129, with free install! But you have to be without your laptop, unless its plugged in until apple fixes it.

No More Check Engine Light - Diagnostic Code Reader Actron cp9125

Posted by admin in Gadgets, Gadgets, ... | 01.18.2008 - 9:00 pm

Actron Pocket engine diagnostic code reader scannerWe really hate the check engine light. But, in an effort to keep our car happy, we’ve long been taking our car in to find out what’s wrong, even it’s running fine. Well, now the Actron PocketScan Diagnostic Code Reader lets you get the codes yourself so you know what’s wrong with your car BEFORE you go to the shop. At $40 this handy tool is a wise investment.

What’s even better, if it’s just something minor that doesn’t require a mechanic, the Code Reader lets you turn the dumb light off. Please use responsibly though. We’d hate for anyone to keep turning it off when the Code Reader says your transmission is about to fall out!

Portable dvd burner
We don’t know if it will copy dvd movies for archive purposes but… DVD Burning just got a little easier for us. Check out the picture of this portable burner, the DVD Coach. It’s a double tiered drive that, when hooked up to a computer, will start burning at 8x speed for DVD’s with a simple click of the “Quick Copy” button. Of course, it has USB functionality, and works with PC and Mac. Also burns CD’s at 16x speed. Portable, convenient, and right now it’s going for $375.

Blu-Ray Better than HD DVD? Warner Bros. Choosing Blu-ray

Posted by admin in Gadgets, Gadgets, Ga... | 01.04.2008 - 11:38 pm

Sucks, I just bought a HD DVD Player a month ago for my xbox, and now Warner Bros. is choosing only Blu-Ray format by Sony. Oh Well, the hd movies I got for free with my DVD player almost add up to the cost of adding the HD-DVD Player to my xbox 360. I guess i’ll just have to buy blu-ray also… Hopefully prices will drop soon

Best CPM Network - Top 10 CPM ad networks - Highest CPMs Program

Posted by admin in Gadgets, Gadgets, Ga... | 01.03.2008 - 4:23 pm

Here is our list based on over a year running 1,000,000s of impressions (not on this site, but we wish ;)
These are our thoughts based on networks we are part of. If you wondering about one we do not mention, we have not joined them yet.

1. Adsdaq - Been running for several months, filled 50% during holiday season , High CPM, Pick your CPM Rate, Run It first, then Right Media Second, works great! Good reporting, easy to use interface.
Adsdaq

2. Right Media - Direct Media Exchange - Been running for 6 months, Pretty High CPM, Good thing is you can set the CPM you get on other networks and they only fill if they beat the CPM you set. Great because they have many companies in there exchange network including (Xtend, Vizi Direct, Rydium, Revenue Science, Oridian, Directa Networks, Bannerconnect Networks, Active Response Group, Adtegrity, CPX Interactive, and Remix Media). They also have great reporting, and you can use them as a free ad server for any direct sales etc.
Direct Media Exchange

3. Tribal Fusion - Been running almost a year, high CPMs but hard to get into, Great pop-under CPMs, Ok Reporting
Tribal

4. Burst Media - Decent CPMs, Sometimes get direct advertisers, Good Reporting
Burst

5. Casale Media - Good Popunder rates, seems great for few months then CPMs went down. Don’t know if it was seasonal or what, but since they are later fill in our system probably is part of the reason.

6. Value Click Media - Decent Popunder rates, lot of fill, don’t like there reporting and slow interface.

7. Realtech Network - LOW Cpms, bad interface, ok for final fill
Realtech

8. Robert Sherman - Terrible Reporting, LOW CPMs, ok for fill, one good thing they prepay in $25 increments, although you never no how much you going to make because the reporting is so bad.
Robert Sherman

Oops only 8, well Again this is based on our own experience with ad networks we have used. We’ll try to get more detailed but wanted to get discussion going with others…
