Those that travel a lot or spend many hours logging business in the sky will appreciate this new product that Sony has developed. How many times have you tried to catch a few zzzz’s on the plane only to be distracted and annoyed by your fellow passengers, crying babies, or the not so pleasant bump and push noises of the food and beverage carts. The Sony MDR-NC500 D headphones are here to help you get through those long flights, ensuring you arrive at your destination fresh and ready to go. They are the very first set of digital noise cancelling headphones on the market and will drown out any ambient noise that you may otherwise have to suffer through. Until now, products that cancelled in flight noise were of the analog variety, but these headphones use digital processing alongside artificial intelligence features that will block out any unwanted noise from many different environments. Noises of low frequency, such as environment noise or the buzz of people talking, and yes, even those annoying drink carts, will be eliminated with precise accuracy. The headphones can automatically switch between three different modes of noise cancelling, so you don’t even have to use them exclusively on the airplane. These will also cancel out noise in your office, and even on the bus. They come equipped with 40 mm drivers, and built in Digital Noise Canceling Software Engine that ensure quality sound reproduction as well. You can use these to tune out noise, or they come with an adaptor to use in-flight to enjoy movies and music as well. With 2 AA batteries, they will even last up to 16 hours. Though they are not ready for sale yet, expect to see these VERY soon.

Here is a gadget that will definitely delight iPhone users, particularly those with long fingernails that find the touch screen a mite on the cumbersome side. It’s called the Pogo Stylus and is geared for the Apple iPhone, as well as the iPod Touch, and even any music player that offers a similar interface. It looks like a pen, and acts like a pen, but writes on your iPhone so that you don’t have to use so much energy punching into your iPhone screen. It offers much less surface area use than your fingertip, so those with long nails or bigger fingers won’t have to fuss any more. And you’ll be happy to note that the materials used to design this are comparable to the sleek and pretty factor of your iPhone as well. The body is a lightweight aluminum alloy and offers an anodized finish in your choice of four colors – cranberry, gunmetal, black, and silver. And then of course to add even further elegance to your new toy, you have laser engraved graphics that will set off the matte sheen of your Pogo Stylus pen. These are going for $1999, and while ome many consider this a little bit pricey considering a 3 pack of Nintendo DS stylus pens will run you around $6, they won’t be nearly as pretty as these pens are. And, you can even pay with Paypal for the Pogo Stylus which is yet another attractive feature to this package. So, if you are the type that enjoys being envied when you use your iPhone, you will soon see that the envy grow when you whip out your Pogo Stylus.

Yes, you may be looking at this and thinking that this one should go right into the useless pile, but if you have a penchant for things that are a little on the silly side, then this unique clock may be just the thing for you. It also may serve useful for the younger generation that is just learning how to tell time, and still actually uses Lego construction. The gadget is simply called the Lego Alarm Clock and why? Because it looks like a giant Lego. The size is considerable though, so you may want to use a table for this one, or if you luck out with a large nightstand, then you are in good shape. The clock features all alarm clock standards such as a snooze button, on and off switch, PM indicator, and reset button. How you see the clock here is turned off, but when the clock is on, the tiny lego pegs light up to give you digital oversized numbers that indicate the time. A little silly yes, but definitely a conversation piece if you hold parties in a funky retro recreation room, or as mentioned, fun for the younger generation. And for the cost of this exclusive design, a mere $59 bucks.

Gone are the days when Wi-Fi connectivity was a coveted commodity. Today the term wireless is a household term, and you can find it just about anywhere. Yes, just about. Not every business or hotel has wireless hot spots, so you still have to endure a little bit of guesswork if you are running out to get some work done on your laptop. Today, we generally have to take out the laptop and search for the nearest connection, but with the Wi-Fi watch, you don’t have to take that extra step. The Wi-Fi Watch will instantly search for the nearest Wi-Fi network in your area at the touch of a button within a three hundred foot radius. It is a discreet alternative to troubleshooting hot spot areas and you can have it on you at all times. Not only will it reveal to you where the hot spots are, but the strength of those signals so that YOU can decide where the best location is to hook up and get connected. In addition to functioning as a Wi Fi search, yes, it even works as just a watch, and also features a countdown timer, world time zone capability, a calendar, and even an alarm. If you are a business traveler, or work on the road frequently, this watch will definitely save some time for you during your portable business dealings. And, for only about $20 bucks, an affordable and wise investment.

Those that use Skype use it religiously and swear by it, and those that don’t, really don’t know what Skype even is. For those that have heard about it, but aren’t really sure what it’s about, it’s a means of communicating by telephone over the Internet using what they call Voice Internet Protocol. Consider it an Instant Messenger of sorts but using voice conversations instead of text conversations. You can use webcams with your Skype service thus enabling you to have video and voice chat as well. Skype is a beautiful thing, and its most appealing quality is the fact that it is free. Yep, just like your Yahoo or MSN Live chats, you won’t pay a dime as long as you have Internet service. For those that DO use it, accessories and devices are always on the market to target high end users with the latest Skype certified products that will improve and enhance your Internet calls. The latest? A Skype Certified Videophone, and it’s called the AiGuruSV1. Here you have your Internet calls go mobile, and you can make unlimited phone calls with a webcam, speaker, and a microphone all on a handy dandy 7 inch screen. Even if you have never used Skype before, this product will give you an easy to use icon based interface with an intuitive button layout that will ease you along the way of trying out this new technology. The Net Connection is accomplished through a 802.11 b/g wireless connection or to Ethernet via a router. The battery is rechargeable and will operate for about 20 minutes but can be plugged into additional technology such as your home charger or computer to juice it up if needs be. This is another one that’s not out quite yet, but look for it come October from ASUS and I am thinking this will be a fab Christmas present for the techie on your list.
