Ah yes, the world of digital photo frames is as competitive as ever, particularly as we approach the last few shopping days before the holidays. So every company is working very hard to come out with versions that are better than their predecessors. So what does the Impact V have that its counterparts do not? Hint, it starts with a V and hence its name. The Impact V provides video support so that you can take any video that you have recorded and upload it wirelessly to its frame.
The Impact V is also Wi Fi enabled, and thus the video will automatically appear with DVD quality video and clear sound anywhere as long as you have a wireless connection. You can upload videos or photos and enjoy your media files however you like. The limitations you will have with this digital photo frame are maximum length for video playback is approximately four minutes, and the videos do take some time to upload, but when you consider the fact that you are working with a photo frame, that’s not that bad actually. Your frame comes with an 8 inch screen that includes 800×600 resolution and an on board flash memory of 512 M. And if you want more, and you may, it also includes MMC/SD/MS card slots to upload as many media files as you like. And of course, what good gadget comes without a remote control? The answer to that is, there is none, so the Impact V aims to please with that as well.
If you’d like to subscribe to RSS feeds or access other online video sites such as Flickr or Photobucket, you can do so with your Impact V. You can pick it up for the gadget lover on your list at the eStarling website for about $200 bucks.
