Just like the world of Mac users and PC users is somewhat divided, we all have our preference, so seems to be the world of mouse users and trackball users. Most people swear by one or the other, and personally, I use both depending on my needs. For work purposes, the mouse is all I need. But when I am sitting in bed, watching a movie, and tooling around on Facebook, I hate the extra wires and cumbersome nature of the mouse so stick with the trackpad. And now it seems that computer manufacturers are working harder for this niche of folks that like how handy that trackball is for laptime computer time.
It would appear that Sharp has created a netbook with a trackpad like no other, as the Mebius PC-NJ70A trackpad is also an LCD. This four-inch screen has a resolution of 854 x 4850, and it can be used as a secondary display. The LCD trackpad has a lot of cool things to do that go beyond Facebook applications: like a paint program, a calculator, a piano keyboard, and a very interesting bowling game. As for the other features, the Mebius has 160GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, a 1.6GHz Atom CPU, as well as a three USB ports, a multicard reader, and WiFi capabiltiy.

Once you read this piece of news, chances are you’ll never look at spam the same way again. Just when we thought that all spam did was to cost plenty of time and money to filter it out, in addition to providing malicious links that could cripple an entire company’s network with a cleverly installed Trojan. It is now being speculated that spam will also help in the cause of global warming. How does it achieve this? Well, it becomes an environmental scourge by damaging the planet after contributing more greenhouse gas during the course of sending and weeding out spam.
McAfee, the security firm has made a study known as “Carbon Footprint of Spam”, touting a mind-blowing figure that shows the world expends 33 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, or 33 terawatt-hours, to send, route, and filter spam messages. This is roughly the equivalent of juice required to power 2.4 million homes, where that energy use will emit an equivalent amount of greenhouse gases as 3.1 million passenger cars that drink up 2 billion gallons of gasoline.

Ah yes, with the advent of technology in today’s day and age not behaving the way that you should when you are out and about has become somewhat of a past time for many people. The Internet has changed, and in some cases broken, many a relationship but now technology is changing to put power back in the hands of the people that are being misguided somewhere along the way. If you have concerns about someone that you care about, then the Nav Genius may be something that you want to get your hands on. When you want to really keep an eye on someone, this gadget comes with all the fixings, and even has measures in place to ensure that YOU aren’t detected while you do so.
Here you have a covert GPS tracker that functions first as a complete and fully functional navigation system, as well as a two-way communication system. This system will update you every ten seconds with live information on what a certain someone may, or may not be, up to while the cat is away. From all looks, the Live Wire Nav Genius looks like a GPS system, so you can purchase this as a ‘gift’ for your potential spy-ee, and check on their location and status without them having a clue. The system will then transmit information to a system you will install for yourself in another vehicle, except that the model in your vehicle will be one of intelligence gathering of sorts for you.
No worries though, even yours will look like a run of the mill GPS system. You will want to make sure though that your potential “victim” doesn’t have too much access to your car or system or your little ploy will be figured out. And to make this tool look even more legit (more…)
